This “from-scratch” Funfetti Pound Cake and Everyone knows that life is better with sprinkles!
Sometimes, we just need a little something to make us smile. Sprinkles make me smile. Sprinkles inside of a delicious cake, well they make me smile!
I have been feeling very overwhelmed the past few weeks. I know it’s just a phase, but it’s still kind of a bummer knowing there are never enough hours in a day to do all of the things you need to do.
One of the ways I cope with stress is by baking after the past few weeks, and I really wanted to make and share something fun! This Funfetti Pound Cake was just the thing to put a smile on my face!
This cake, you all. This cake. It is just perfect. I love seeing the color peeking out of the cake. Delicious? Yes. Easy? Yes. Should you make it?! Yes!! Yes!! What are you waiting for?
Cook Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
Yield: 16 servings
For the cake:
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
- 1½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 cups cake flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ cup sprinkles
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp. Milk
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- Sprinkles (for garnish), optional
